Fabrication

This is the general term describing the processes applied to flat sheets of plastic to create a product, CNC routing, straight line bending, drape moulding and welding already described.

In addition to those described, other methods of bonding include gluing using specialist adhesives and various fastenings and rivets suitable for the material requirements.

Drape moulding is another fabrication process not yet mentioned it is the process of heating an entire sheet in an oven and then forming it into a mould typically used for boat windows curved displays machine guards etc.

The final process not yet described is polishing to give a clear or gloss finish depending on the material involved, we use hand polishing flame polishing and buff polishing.
